Artist Edward Granger and furniture design and manufacturing company 'Bend' teamed up to create some funky furniture. The 'Lucy Chair,' an outcome of their collaboration, pushes past the boundaries of uniqueness by undoubtedly looking like nothing you have ever seen before -- except maybe in your mother's sewing supply bag.
The chair is made up of numerous bunches of vibrantly colorful thread, which seem to have been taken off their spools and placed onto the structures that make up the chair. The designers placed each "spool" of thread in different directions and experimented with geometric shapes.
The chair is completely made up of sustainable material and is meant to demonstrate the relationship between products and the environment. It is set to debut at this year's ICFF as a part of the event's sustainable art installation.
