Spacious Bow-Tie-Shaped Homes

Emilio López Arquitecto Boasts a Secluded & Interesting Ecuador Home

This Ecuador home by Quito-based firm Emilio López Arquitecto features two levels and an irregular design. The structure is in a semi-secluded area and its form is reminiscent of a bow-tie. For its construction, the practice used flat-fiber cement panels, glass, Amarillo and Asta woods. Definitely the key characteristic of the silhouette, the shape is somewhat strategic. Not only is it aesthetically attention-grabbing, but the ends are also fully glazed so that residents can enjoy the natural surroundings and the ocean in the coastal area of Don Juan.

Because of its bow-tie-like shape, the Ecuador home has two openings that contribute to adequate ventilation. On top of that, the influx of light within the interior of the structure is absolutely unparallel.
