The dynamic eCloud Sculpture at San Jose International Airport is made up of hundreds of polycarbonate tiles that fade from transparent to opaque in response to real-time weather data from around the world.
The interactive art installation was created as part of the Art and Technology program at the airport. A specialized team including artist Aaron Koblin, designer Nik Hafermaas, and NASA visual strategist Dan Goods brought the eCloud sculpture from idea to reality and to the delight of travelers who use the San Jose International Airport.
