The East River Chair is a colorful example of how seating does not have to be bland. Designed by Hella Jongerius, the collection comes in multiple colors, and is made up of a number of different materials, including leather, metal and fabric.

The chairs look as though they would fit perfectly to one's body, as the armrests are the ideal height to sit back and give one's limbs a break. There is a distinctive scoop in the middle part of the chair, again allowing users to just fall in and get comfortable. The East River Chair was made for Vitra, but it was debuted at the 2014 Salone del Mobile.

Ideal for lounging around, the East River Chair will add a few highlighter hues to one's living room. Photo Credits: designboom, jongeriuslab
