Sleek Steel Structural Chairs

Jeremy Le Chatelier Joins Ravi Handa on the Combchair

Montreal-based architect Ravi Handa works in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Jeremy Le Chatelier on the new Combchair design that is entirely made from a blend of steel and concrete materials. The two materials rely on one another for aesthetics and practicality.

It has a grounded base that is made from concrete and then further reinforced by steel. It is seen coming out of the foundation to create a seating solution. Bending at a right angle, it seems to blend right into the foundation. The chair's material will also weather and patinas over time, seen as both a piece of furniture and artwork. The chair is seen in monochromatic colors in a sleek black or white hue.
