Designed by UK-based Burgopak, the Duallok packaging system is meant to keep children out of marijuana-related products. As the cannabis industry continues to grow, the need for better and safer packaging is becoming more evident. This is where the Duallok comes in, as it is a CR3 child-resistant packaging system designed specifically to house high-end controlled substances.

The packaging itself looks much like an oversized matchstick box and is accessible via two buttons on the side. These buttons allow the user to slide out the cardboard tray containing the product. According to Burgopak, "this three-step process creates a cognitive challenge beyond the problem-solving capabilities of young children." This system provides a safe and simple alternative for cannabis packaging that relies on the mental capacities of individuals to keep items secure.
