'Drop' by Paul Cocksedge Benefits Barnardo's Childrens Charity
Michael Hines — September 26, 2010 — Art & Design
I probably wouldn't be as into 'Drop' by Paul Cocksedge if it wasn't for the kids. This installation is designed to look like a giant penny dropped from a giant's palm that landed right-side-up.
What makes 'Drop' by Paul Cocksedge so awesome is that it's magnetic. People walking by can stick their unused pennies to it, creating their own art as they dispose of their loose change. Once the installation closes, every penny will be counted up and one British pound per penny will be donated to Barnardo's, a children's charity. Check out 'Drop' in the gallery above.
