The Doorbell Cam Pro from August introduces anything but a run-of-the-mill doorbell, as it boasts a range of high-tech features that include HD livestreaming, motion detection, a two-way audio system and a built-in illuminator for low light conditions. Perhaps most impressively of all, the smart doorbell system is compatible with not just August's own Smart Lock, the advanced Smart Lock Pro + Connect and the Smart Keypad, and but also Nest and Amazon Alexa.
For enhanced home security, homeowners are able to subscribe to the August Video Recording system, which makes it possible for video content captured by the system to be replayed on demand for up to 30 days for added peace of mind. For this feature, August charges $5 monthly for the use of its cloud storage service.
