Aqara Released the G410 Doorbell Camera Hub with Multiple New Features

— July 10, 2025 — Tech
The Aqara G410 Doorbell Camera Hub combines a 2K-resolution camera with a 175° field of view and an f/1.8 aperture to deliver detailed, wide-angle video of doorstep activity. It incorporates a built-in mmWave radar sensor to distinguish human presence from background motion, reducing false alerts, and on-device facial recognition to enable local automations without cloud processing. Installed either on battery power—six AA cells providing up to five months of typical use—or hardwired to a 12–24 V AC/DC transformer for continuous recording, the doorbell transmits video and event data to an included indoor chime-hub via dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), ensuring reliable connectivity without draining the camera’s power source.

Beyond its core surveillance function, the G410 serves as a versatile smart-home hub. The chime-hub supports Matter controller roles, Thread border-routing, and Aqara’s Zigbee ecosystem, allowing direct management of compatible sensors and actuators without additional bridges. Storage options include local microSD cards (up to 512 GB inside the chime unit), optional NAS backup, and end-to-end-encrypted cloud archives via Aqara’s HomeGuardian or Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video. The device also offers RTSP streaming for integration with third-party platforms such as Home Assistant, while the Aqara Home app provides privacy masking, voice modification, and two-way audio to support secure, customizable door-entry interactions.
