Door-in-Door Refrigerators

LG Launches an Innovative Multi-Door Refrigerator at CES

LG's newest door-in-door refrigerator, which launched at CES 2015, is specifically designed to preserve energy.

The Door-in-Door Mega-Capacity, like the Door-in-Door French Door model before it, features a slim compartment within its external frame for regular-use items. This compartment can be opened independently of the main storage area, so as to prevent warm external air from entering (and thus, requiring more energy to cool).

Other features included in the Door-in-Door Mega-Capacity are the Fresh Air Filter system, along with Smart Cooling Plus technology, which maintains the fridge's internal temperature. Another feature, the Smart Diagnosis technology from LG, forwards diagnostic information to the company's call center, should any problems arise. Users can keep in the loop with the accompanying smartphone app.
