Crafty or thrifty (or both) brides will love the DIY Scented Dyed Rice. A great home project to do along with some best girlfriends (a.k.a. bridesmaids), it is a confetti that takes the whole throwing rice tradition to the next level. Not only is the rice color-coded to match the theme of the wedding itself, it provides a waft of a pleasant fragrance for guests as they toss handfuls into the air.

All that is needed to create the DIY Scented Dyed Rice is a cup of rice (obviously), vinegar, food coloring or natural dyes, essential oil, ziplock bag, parchment paper and a sheet pan. The vinegar helps set the color while the essential oils mask the smell.
