This art series of distorted human bodies uses bright bold colors and odd bodily configurations to allow viewers to see human beings in a different way. Each of the pieces in the striking art series looks at the complexity of human relations and personal interaction.
The images vary from obvious and subtle instances of human behavior which offers real and fantastical depictions. In creating his paintings, Richard Colman uses simple block coloring and a minimalist approach to force viewers to examine the content of his work rather than simply its aesthetics.
One of the more complex pieces called 'Four Heads' is an exploration in the interconnectedness of human beings, and our need of support to remain balanced. Also, a closer investigation of this piece reveals a narrative of hierarchy and politics.
