Knowing that many people seek to express themselves succinctly with the right emoji, Skype introduced a set of five new emojis to its messenger, themed after the new Disney Inside Out movie.
The five new emoticons are modeled after the characters from the animated film, including representations of emotions like Anger, Disgust, Fear, Joy and Sadness. These emojis will only be around for the next few months, serving as fun ways to add a bit of color and expression to an otherwise ordinary Skype conversation.
The use of emojis in marketing has also proven a popular way for brands like McDonald's, Old Navy, Burger King and Miracle-Gro to connect with an audience of young, tech-savvy, Millennial consumers who can easily identify with this strong visual language.
