The channel will promote an environmentally friendly lifestyle and will be available in 50 million homes in the U.S. The move is part of a larger initiative at the company, which includes carbon-neutralizing its headquarters. No word yet on a launch date or programming.

Companies capable of providing that assurance, in the form of green products or a carbon-neutral headquarters, will ultimately attract a larger swathe of the population.
