The Royal Canadian Mint collaborated with Forevermark diamonds and Crossworks Manufacturing to reveal what it calls the "world’s first diamond-shaped silver coin.” The collectible coin is made with three ounces of 99.999% pure silver and is embellished with a 0.20-carat square-cut diamond from the Ontario's Victor Mine. To highlight the precious stone, the coin boasts a matte finish.
As ever, the uniquely shaped coin includes a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. To help collectors truly appreciate what makes this multi-dimensional silver coin stand out, the Royal Canadian Mint packages the coin with a mirror so that it can be viewed from different angles with ease.
Only 700 of the diamond-shaped silver coins are available for purchase, retailing for just under $1,500 CAD.
