The Royal Mint has launched a new 1oz coin as the last item in its Harry Potter wizard-themed coin collection. The coin collection is made in celebration of 25 years since the publication of author J.K Rowling's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone book. The Royal Mint's director of collector services, Rebecca Morgan, said: "It felt fitting to have the final coin in this collection feature Hogwarts School, the place where Harry Potter became one of the greatest wizards of all time."
The coin collection has featured themes of the enchanting Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and iconic characters from the book series. Some standout coins from the collection include colorful coins of Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter, while other coins are in gold with engraved illustrations of the iconic Hogwarts Express. The new limited-edition coin is 1 oz and features the Hogwarts school castle building on one side with the image of King Charles III on the other. The coin's custom packaging showcases the Hogwarts school castle building in color. The coin is priced at $99.50 in GBP, and the rest of the collection is still available for purchase.
