Laundry detergent bottles, like many other household cleaners, are mostly made with water as the first ingredient—and Seventh Generation spotted an opportunity to reduce its standard bottle size and at the same time, reduce wasted energy and shipping costs associated with transporting heavier bottles.
Seventh Generation specifically developed its new concentrated laundry detergent for Amazon, which features half the water, 60% less plastic and a 75% reduction in weight, yet the compact new 23.1-ounce bottle still contains enough product to wash as many loads as the 100-ounce size.
