For a span of two weeks, those in the Maidstone, the county town of Kent, England, will be able to see pizza chain Domino's delivering food in a most unusual way—by canoe.
Along the River Loose in Ken County, residents will be able to pizza in a novel way that involves a pizza "bouy" who will make these deliveries while suited up in a wetsuit and traveling by canoe. To make the stunt even more interesting, Domino's is testing out floating pizza boxes, to ensure that no pizza is in danger of going overboard. Domino's will also be making a donation to the Loose Conservation Trust as part of an effort to preserve the local waterways.
Domino's has experimented with a range of pizza delivery techniques via chatbot, drone, bus routes and even emojis.
