Ready-to-Wear Biomaterial Fashion

Deadwood Studios SS24 Debuted MycoWorks' Reishi on the Runway

The Deadwood Studios SS24 collection recently walked the runway at Copenhagen Fashion Week and showcased MycoWorks' first-ever Made with Reishi ready-to-wear application. This collaboration showcased a unique material made with Fine Mycelium, signaling a shift in the way fashion is being created for a more sustainable future.

On the mycelium biomaterial in ready-to-wear design, Deadwood Studios co-founder Felix von Bahder said, "Every square centimeter of this material is a work of art itself, and Nature is the artist."

As a high-end biomaterial, Reishi is said to be supple and structured with an unparalleled level of rawness. Additionally, it's also touted as the only leather alternative made from mycelium that meets the luxury industry's performance standards and climate commitments, making it a biomaterial that will be in demand for future fashion seasons.
