Realistic Male Dolls

The Dad Bod Ken is in Response to the Latest Line of Barbies

As Mattel embraces the times by expanding its collection of Barbies with more realistic representations of women around the world, people are now proposing they do the same with their male counterparts -- enter Dad Bod Ken. Doing away with his typical muscled frame, chiseled jawline and perfect hair, Dad Bod Ken has a beer gut and what appears to be a permanent frown.

This version of Dad Bod Ken was imagined by Will McFadden, yet as Neatorama points out that there are more "people on the intellectual discussion forum of Twitter are saying that Mattel should add a more realistic Ken to date Barbie." This is a natural progression of the Barbie debate and it will be interesting to see how Mattel responds.
