Cykelhuset Ohboy is an innovative new cycling-friendly building, located in the city of Malmo in Sweden, that is designed to offer an environment that caters to the specific needs and desires of people who are shunning car-focused lifestyles in favor of a healthier, cycling-centric approach towards day-to-day life.
Developed by Hauschild + Siegel, this cycling-friendly building will feature a generous number of bicycle parking spaces instead of car parking. The surfaces are designed to be bike-friendly and easy to clean, while doorways are wide enough to fit even big cargo bikes. Residents will also have access to bicycle sharing programs. These facilities will also be open to the adjoining hotel.
This cycling-friendly building harks at a future where architectural projects will be increasingly influenced by the growing popularity of cycling in Europe's urban centers.
