Skype Has Updated Its Application to Offer Custom Backgrounds

Similarly to Zoom, Skype is giving its users the ability to spruce up their video calls with a custom background of their choice, with the new feature accessible on updated versions on the application on the web, Windows, Mac, and Linux.
To select their custom background, users just need to click on their Audio & Video settings, where they'll be able to choose from a variety of popular themes, or upload their own. Once they've selected one, Skype will replace their background with the image, offering users more privacy while on conference calls, in addition to giving them the opportunity to have more fun with the application.
As Engadget reports, Skype also offers a blurring feature, which takes objects in the background out of focus.
