The Cummins Hybrid Energy System Supports Off-Grid Living

The Cummins hybrid energy system has been showcased as an off-grid power solution concept with recreational vehicle (RV) users alike to help them maintain a comfortable experience in a range of environments.

The system makes use of a large lithium-ion battery pack meant for storing energy to keep onboard equipment running from anywhere. This battery relies on solar panels to stay charged, but also boasts vehicle alternator charging to provide additional support in off-grid environments. The 2.8kW Onan QG 2800i gasoline generator helps ensure the batteries aren't able to completely deplete.

The Cummins hybrid energy system also features a power distribution hub ready to manage both input and output from the aforementioned power sources. The system is capable of supporting solar inputs up to 500W.
