Suspended Oval Installations

Crest by Zaha Hadid Will be at the London Design Festival

'Crest' is a new design from the world-renown artist and architect Zaha Hadid, which takes on a half oval shape. The installation will be initially placed at the London Design Festival, and later moved to a hotel set to open in 2016 in Dubai.

The installation is smooth and modern, and is set to go over a pond in the John Madejski garden in London. Overall the entire design is minimalist and simplistic, avoiding anything too flashy or brass. This tends to be a common theme that Hadid works with, preferring to focus more on interesting forms rather than overdoing it with frills and gimmicks. The cost of moving the installation is sure to be pricey, but since the hotel in Dubai is looking for modern architecture, to them it's worth the money.
