In order to engage its customers in a fun way for the holiday season, McDonald's Singapore strung together a series of creative Instagram posts.
As a platform that's dominated by visuals, it was important for the brand to create dynamic content. To do this, the fast food brand turned its social media page into a comic strip, featuring illustrations that included doodles playfully interacting with its drinks, burgers and other menu items. A lot of the charm of the content comes from mixed media, which combines product photography with hand-drawn illustrations.
The campaign was a success at winning the brand plenty of recognition in the region, providing a lesson to other brands on the importance of sharing high-quality content on a social platform like Instagram.
