Nowadays, there are services that can bring just about anything -- from groceries to meals to alcohol and more -- to consumers' doorsteps, but Couchmates is a new service that helps to cover that last mile. Or more accurately, Couchmates helps people cover those last 20 feet. The sarcastic service lets roommates send text-based orders to one another, nagging one's housemates and keeping one's own tuchus firmly planted on the couch.
With Couchmates, users can order services from their roommates. All users need to do is enter their roommate's phone number and specify what it is that they want to be done, like picking up the pizza from the door, grabbing a glass of water or a beer from the fridge, or fetching the remote controller from the other side of the room.
