Co-operatives UK is a trade body for mutual businesses and co-operatives. "We aim to bring together all those with a passion and interest in co-operative action," they write on their about page on their website. "We work to promote the co-operative alternative across many sectors of the economy from high street consumer-owned co-operatives to pubs and football clubs, healthcare to agriculture, credit unions to community owned shops."
They were part of the Co-operatives Fortnight, which SocialBusiness.org covered in May, which runs every summer in the United Kingdom. They also have an app for Android, iPhone and iPad called Co-operate, which provides informations on co-operatives, their products and also news related to the field at large.
