The Taste in Rock Bands of These Cool Grannies is Hardcore

These cool grannies rock.

Jay Hynes, a Sydney, Australia-based photographer has captured a series of grannies rocking out—well, just going about their daily business—in t-shirts adorned with logos of famous rock bands. In the photo series titled 'Grandmas Rock,' the elderly women wear t-shirts with such bands as Metallica, AC/DC and Motorhead. While the cool grannies don’t look to be doing anything out of the ordinary like playing a guitar while blasting the amp, the women are seen going about their normal activity, such as sewing, having a cup of tea and lounging in the kitchen.

The photographs certainly remind us that while we may be physically older, they are not by any means an indication of our waning tastes and interests.
