Consumers looking for an easier way to obtain convenience store products in Tokyo can now take advantage of a new partnership between Uber Eats and retailer Lawson.
The service is being trialled by the two brands and will offer shoppers with intuitive access to around 100 different products ranging from cooked meals to essentials like toilet paper. Shoppers looking to take advantage of the service can do so in Tokyo where four stores are presently participating with another 13 being added by the end of September. The trial is set to run until the end of November.
Lawson does not presently offer a delivery service and plans to study the convenience store products service results before it considers a wider launch at a later date.
