Monitor Corkboard Frames

Contour Adds a Cork Note Board Around the Edge of an iMac Display

Contour is a monitor-mounted corkboard concept designed by Adam Miklosi. Created for Apple's iMac, the accessory sits approximately 20 millimetres behind the display and forms a slim cork border around the screen. The frame provides space for pinned notes, photographs, reminders and printed documents while keeping them within view during work. Rather than occupying desk space, the design uses the perimeter of the monitor to create an integrated display area for physical materials.

Natural cork serves as the primary material, bringing a tactile surface and warm appearance to the workspace. The cork frame also functions as a subtle visual divider around the display, extending slightly beyond the screen without obstructing the viewing area. Miklosi developed the concept in collaboration with Corkway, a manufacturer specializing in cork-based products.
