Communication has changed dramatically over the years with the communication evolution. We no longer use home phones to get in contact with people or go to each other's houses to see if someone is home. We now live in an era of technology that can do everything and anything. Instant connections are at our fingertips.
Humans have been communicating in various ways throughout history including, radios, walkie-talkies, handie-talkies, two-way radios, mobile phones, SMS, texting and now wearable technology. Although the medium has changed we still communicate for the same reasons. The communication evolution infographic showcases exactly how we have changed our medium of communication. Some say that the radio is dying, but it seems to me that it has been one the biggest impacts of communication thus far.
Although we constantly get new technology implying it is better than the last device, I still think a face-to-face conversation means much more than texting or video chatting.
