The title of Emily Blincoe's latest project, 'Colors Organized Neatly,' doesn't do it justice. In fact, if you were working off the title alone, you might think it was referring to a color-coded Filofax, or something equally mundane.

In actuality, Blincoe busies herself with methodically arranging food and plants according to their color, shape and size. This isn't something new for artist: she has proven her organizational skills in her previous projects, 'The Garden Collection' and 'Sugar Series.' Though the premise is simple, there's something completely satisfying about seeing the items so carefully and thoughtfully put together.

The compositions seem to enhance the natural beauty of the items, causing the colors to practically leap off the page. The ordinary is transformed in something sensation in this vibrant series.
