The colorful street art installations that emphasize a vibrancy in character in London's White City district carry the stylistic sensibility of designer Camille Walala. While two of the pieces adorn two pedestrian crossings located on Wood Lane and South Africa Road., another chromatic composition amplifies the aesthetic of the WestWorks office building facade. The colorful street art series is playfully dubbed 'Les Jumeaux.' Drawing inspiration from the "rich architectural details found in the area," Walala successfully develops a composition that embodies the spirit of the neighborhood and her signature style.
Camille Walala, alongside artists like Yinka Ilori and Adam Nathaniel Furman, is part of the 'New London Fabulous' project—an initiative that presents itself as a "burgeoning design movement." Of her experience, the creative shares that "[it] was a really exciting commission because [she] got to explore the area so much more than [she had] in the past."
