French artist and illustrator Chloé Mickham has created an impressive portfolio of intriguing colored pencil illustrations.
Based out of Paris, Mickham is able to draw a number of beautiful, odd and playful pictures of subjects ranging from hairless cats to innocently sleeping yet strangely menacing children. Each visual setting takes on an almost dreamlike quality, with a series of different surreal settings presenting themselves outwards toward the viewer.
Each of these colored pencil illustrations are done with great attention to detail and present a skillful mastery of color choice that nicely complement the theme. On her website, Mickham explains that she likes "observing the world carefully
and telling stories through my drawings." If this is the case, then Mickham's interpretation of her surrounding environment is certainly an interesting one.
