Coca-Cola recently announced that its '&Drip' coffee machine will launch in Japanese markets. The coffee machine implements technology that is able to keep oxygen levels in the pods under 1%. This means that the machine is able to produce extremely fresh coffee. The machine was designed by Nendo and it is being sold to consumers through a partnership with Makuake. Currently, the machine has been sold over 400 times.
The unit is priced at ¥13,800 JPY, or $130 USD, and 12 pods for the machine cost ¥740 JPY, or $7 USD. The coffee machine will be available to consumers in Japanese markets from Amazon, Rakuten, as well as Tsutaya Electronics, beginning on December 6th.
