Maison Margiela Unveils the Co-Ed Collection for the SS21 Season

Maison Margiela focuses on the theme of interdependency and intimacy during a time of isolation in its latest Co-Ed collection for the Spring/Summer 2021. The new capsule is showcased as the second and last instalment of the brand's 'S.W.A.L.K' project. It is a film initiative that launched for haute couture in 2019.

He interprets a tango style to showcase the seasonal design. There are vintage pieces that accompany modern silhouettes as a reference to Neoclassical tradition. To reference the tango themes, the designs include sultry red colors, cream formal designs, and dark pinstriped tailoring. John Galliano interprets his own style of tango and experiments with the concept of what he calls "storied garments" with juxtaposing design from different time eras.
