The Coca-Cola Share Chairs have been installed as part of the drink brand's Share a Coke campaign, which is launching for the fifth consecutive year.
As its name suggests, this campaign emphasizes shared experiences and features a number of unique marketing elements to reflect that. This year, the brand created the 'Share Chair,' which aims to bring people together while reminding consumers that drinking a coke is a social experience. This particular two-seater armchair will dispense personal mini cans of coke when both spots are occupied. In addition, those sitting in the chair will receive a photo, which can later be posted to social media.
This unique marketing effort is accompanied by a television, radio, outdoor and theater-based advertising.
