Offering merchants an API for warranties, the Clyde startup helps sellers plug into a simple system to add product guarantee options without having to craft their own programs from scratch. Taking a retailer-centric, rather than an insurer-centric approach to warranty, Clyde gives merchants a plug-and-play system that can be implemented onto point-of-sale systems or e-commerce platforms in just a few minutes.
Founded in 2017 by Gell, Josh Scaglione, Nick Scaglione, and Jereme Holiman, the idea to launch Clyde started after Gell experiences the frustration of trying to create a warranty program at a previous company. This process was unbearably long and was incredibly complicated, however, through this pain the Clyde startup was born. The startup has already partnered with small merchants and is pulling in Fortune 500 retailers hoping to integrate this tech in their existing systems.
