Ricoh has introduced 'Clickable Paper' for Apple and Android.

What is clickable paper? The technology allows you to click on an image without having to zoom in on a code or logo. After you have clicked on the image, you are directed to different options including an amazon link, a YouTube video or the service or products website. You can also share the information via Facebook and Twitter.

Essentially, clickable paper allows you to be directed to related online content by simply pointing a smartphone at any printed surface. The technology can also be used with printed materials like newspapers, magazines, books, direct mail and websites. Clicker Paper chooses related content by searching for author and identifies hot spots of information and stores it in the cloud server database.

The technology behind Clickable Paper is Ricoh Visual Search. The app is available for download on iTunes and is free of charge.
