Victor Koroma is a photographer who took discarded cigarette packs and transformed the clean labels into beautiful messes. In an act to turn ordinary advertising images of brand logos into more interesting pieces of art, he used droplets of coffee, tea and wine to smudge the package ink. By blurring the lines on the packaging, he also blurred the lines between generic advertisements and artistic expression.
This collection of art titled 'A Beautiful Mess' completely transforms cigarette packs into upcycled pieces of art. Each drop of water looks intentionally placed to create a beautiful mess of watercolors atop a crisp label.
Each artwork uses different packs including Marlboro to Parliament, which means each work is infused with different colors that create a variety of interesting pieces in the collection.
