Chocolate mousse is a popular dessert that incorporates air bubbles to give it a light and airy texture. Oftentimes chocolate mousse is served in a cup and topped with whipped cream and strawberries. Though airy and full of fluff, this sweet treat is usually made with egg whites and egg yolk. However, Food Republic's chocolate mousse is made to be vegan-friendly. In place of the separated and whipped eggs, the Food Republic recipe uses gelatin.
Though this dessert is capable of being consumed as is, this chocolate mousse can be infused with cinnamon, coffee or liquor. It is best served cold, and goes well with most berries.
