Chiara Mazzocchi, a performer, photographer and director who's from Italy, recently lensed a series that highlights some of the unique inner processes that individuals go through in specific situations.

The visuals show subjects at their most intimate times in a unique way that's highly impactful, as all viewers are able to relate to them in some way. In one image, a woman is shown progressing through time, similarly to how the process of human evolution is often represented. Rather than growing taller, the woman shrinks with the weight she pulls that grows increasingly heavier. By the time she hits 'Present,' she's fallen to her knees. Other portraits in Chiara Mazzocchi's series represent feelings of alienation, deep connections to nature and more.
