Darkly Deceptive Photography

The New Chema Madoz Photography Turns Reality on its Head

Nothing is as it seems with the newly released Chema Madoz photography. Each of his photos displays some unexpected angle. A cloud that becomes the leaves of a tree, a spoon with a fork-shaped shadow and a ladder climbing to nowhere are just some of Madoz's wonderfully confusing works.

His use of black and white coloring gives these photographs an elegant appearance while simultaneously making the viewer feel as if they're observing a different world. The illusion component of each photograph is often depicted in white. For example the clouds, white clothing and bright plates are all the illusive parts of their respective photographs, and so are highlighted in their composition.

These photographs are both clever and artistic, forcing the viewer to work their minds and imagination while also creating something aesthetically beautiful.
