Mountain-Resembling Architecture

MAD Architects Begins Developments on the Chaoyang Park Plaza

MAD Architects have begun development on the Chaoyang Park Plaza, and decided to build something that would reflect the environment and keep with Chinese tradition.

Since the building is located in Beijing, the designers wanted to create a structure that would mimic nature instead of take away from it. Many architectural designs that go up in a city are simply concrete blocks, but the building at Chaoyang Park Plaza is different. Located next to a lake, the design is formed with inspiration from traditional Chinese paintings, while also attempting to forge the way for futuristic forms of architecture.

The Chaoyang Park Plaza defies traditional construction methods and successfully takes cues from the natural landscape around Beijing.
