Argentinian artist and designer Edgardo Giménez creates a new space that functions as an artist residency dubbed the Casa Neptuna. It is located in Uruguay and the design language highlights geometric shapes and vibrant color palettes. The Casa Neptuna building boasts a one-story design that has an elongated design made up of blocks and then detailed with sculptural shapes.
The FAA director Verónica Flom speaks to Dezeen about the space, "The residency program and Casa Neptuna were created simultaneously, in continuous dialogue and harmony. In a way, the process of creating Casa Neptuna and its results are an example of the purpose of our residency program: that artists can have the time, space, and freedom to work on their practice. Edgardo wanted the house to be a space where one feels free to encourage creative thinking."
