The Canon 'Shot by Luke Cannon' Campaign is Clever and Cute

The Canon 'Shot by Luke Cannon' ad campaign is absolutely adorable. It is a double pun on both the photographer's last name and the pronunciation of the brand's name. It essentially treats the Canon lens like an actual cannon. Of course, considering that it isn't, the lens playfully interacts with toys by shooting out a dare devil minifig and firing on the classic green plastic soldiers.

Conceived and executed by Collect, an ad agency based in Manchester, United Kingdom, the Canon 'Shot by Luke Cannon' ad campaign was (no surprise here) photographed by none-other-than Luke Cannon. Forgetting about his name for a second, the fact that he promotes himself as a 'gun for hire' is highly appropriate. It was art directed by Rich Edwards.
