Rockstar is moving beyond canned drinks with Rockstar Energy Pouches, a lip-pouch format that lets Rockstar drinkers get the brand's energy hit without opening a can. The product is due next year, marking Rockstar's first step into a format outside the beverage pack it has long used.
Each puck holds 15 pouches, and each pouch delivers 100mg of caffeine with theanine and taurine. Fruit Punch Freeze and Mint Freeze give the line one sweet option and one cooler one, while the puck format makes the dose easier to carry and portion than a full drink.
Rockstar Energy Pouches turn a can-only energy brand into a hybrid one, widening where Rockstar can show up during the day. More 2027 products in the works make these pouches a test case for how far Rockstar can stretch beyond drinks.

Why This Trend Is Growing
- Canless Caffeine
- Energy brands are translating familiar stimulant rituals into portable, portioned formats that fit places where beverages are inconvenient or restricted.
- Hybrid Energy Formats
- Brand equity from drinks is extending into oral, snackable, and functional formats, creating room for category blurring beyond traditional beverage aisles.
- Dose-controlled Stimulation
- Precise caffeine delivery in compact pouches reflects growing demand for measured energy experiences with less liquid, sugar, and packaging dependence.
Industries Being Reshaped
- Energy Drinks
- Legacy beverage players are finding new growth by converting can-based consumption into flexible formats that preserve brand recognition while expanding usage occasions.
- Functional Consumables
- Ingredient-led products combining caffeine, theanine, and taurine are reshaping how consumers access performance benefits outside conventional food and drink contexts.
- Oral Nicotine Alternatives
- The popularity of pouch-based delivery systems is opening adjacent opportunities for non-nicotine wellness, energy, and focus products in familiar portable packaging.
