This Woman Made a Dress Using 10,000 Starburst Wrappers

Artist Emily Seilhamer has designed a gorgeously colorful candy wrapper dress that was made using 10,000 Starburst wrappers.

To break the ice, Seilhamer's now-husband, offered her a Starburst, his favorite candy. Wanting to create something special to commemorate the moment they first met, Seilhamer asked her husband to save his candy wrappers -- she originally planned to make a starburst shoe -- but upon receiving grocery bags full of wrappers, realized she had more than enough materials to make something larger.

To make the dress, the artist ironed each wrapper flat before folding and sewing the individual strands together. The dress features a rainbow of colors and has been fashioned into an off the shoulder cocktail dress.
