While there are tons of snack bag designs that are resealable, many candy bags are only meant to be opened once, since consumers with a sweet tooth will eagerly finish off an entire package in a single sitting.
Twizzlers recently redesigned its candy bag packaging in a way that features the same pressed seal on one side and a resealable zip on the other. This new FreshPak closure comes from Sealstrip and helps consumers to preserve the candy twists for longer if they choose not to eat them all at once.
The candy bags for Hershey's Twizzlers are also notable for reducing the use of packaging film by 43%, and as Packaging Digest reports: "first to use a pressure-sensitive adhesive reseal feature for flexible packaging that is compliant with the Food and Drug Administration for direct food contact."
