Mizzi Studio Embellishes Hyde Park with a Place to Grab a Coffee
Kalina Ned — July 31, 2019 — Art & Design
Mizzi Studio's latest project is realized as an interestingly shaped cafe kiosk in London's Hyde Park. The destination for coffee is tied to the Serpentine Galleries — places that are highly recognized for their influence in the art and culture sector.
Mizzi Studio's cafe kiosk is in a strategic spot, as well. The small establishment occupies a space that allows guests to enjoy the surrounding greenery, but it is also located near the site of the annual Serpentine Pavilion — a very important event for the design industry.
When designing the silhouette of the building, Mizzi Studio drew inspirational cues from "both Japanese tea houses and the Serpentine lake." This is best translated through the irregular shape of the roof.
